HIGH-EFFICIENCY DC POWER SUPPLY APPARATUS IN USING TOROIDAL TRANSFORMERS

PURPOSE: A high efficiency DC power supply apparatus is provided to block a surge voltage and an external noise by controlling a primary voltage using a toroidal transformer. CONSTITUTION: A toroidal transformer(3) is connected to an AC input unit and controls a primary voltage. An AC rectifier(4) rectifies the output voltage of a toroidal transformer. An input current phase detector(9) detects the phase of a current through the AC rectifier. A power factor compensating controller(2) receives the feedback from the input current phase detector and controls the phase of the voltage. A constant voltage controller(5) is connected to the output terminal of the power factor controller and controls the voltage.
