PURPOSE: An apparatus and a method for measuring diffusion coefficient are provided to improve the speed and accuracy of measurement of diffusion coefficient by using the electrical motion characteristic of molecules and electro-osmotic flow generated in an electric field. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus for measuring diffusion coefficient comprises micro-fluid(20), a micro-device part(30) and a light source part(50). The micro-fluid comprises a target material for diffusion coefficient measurement which is coupled with a fluorescent or colored marker. The micro-device part creates and destroys an electric field in the specific area of the micro-fluid so as to form and eliminate the concentration gradient caused by the movement of the target material. The light source part irradiates light to the micro-fluid in order to observe the target material.
