Combinations of 4-bromo-2-(4-chlorophenyl)-5-(trifluoromethyl)-1H-pyrrole-3-carbonitrile and metal compounds

Disclosed is a composition comprising a combination of 4-bromo-2-(4-chlorophenyl)-5- (trifluoromethyl)-1-H-pyrrole-3-carbonitrile, or a salt thereof, as component (I), and as a component (II), zinc pyrithione; whereby component (I) and component (II) are in respective proportions to provide a synergistic effect against fouling organisms; wherein the ratio by weight of component (I) to zinc pyrithione is 2:1 to 1:2. Also disclosed is the use of said composition for the control of fouling organisms, a method of protecting materials against fouling organisms comprising application of said composition and a product containing said composition.
