PURPOSE: A display unit controlling device for a vehicle for reducing the shadow of the fingers approaching to a touch panel is provided to increase the visibility about the finger image displayed on the display unit by reducing the shadow of the fingers. CONSTITUTION: A shade reduction polarizing filter(10) for the shadows reduction is attached to the surface of a touch panel. A light diffusion filter(20) includes the micro cavity in the surface in order to reduce the light transmission attached to the bottom surface of the touch panel. An image controller(22) extracts the finger part from the image which a camera takes a photograph. An ECU(Electronic Control Unit)(18) performs an operation command selected by the finger image.
