<p>The invention relates to a process and an installation for correlating the electro-technological parameters in plasma jet-assisted turning. According to the invention, the process consists in continuously measuring the deformations of a turning lathe tool body on two directions after which, based on the instantaneous values of said deformations, a microprocessor unit computes in real time the values of chip removal force components, so that, depending on the instantaneous value thereof and on some preset values of some parameters, such as: cutting depth, working advance, cutting rate and quality of the material to be machined, the microprocessor unit continuously adjusts the value of a plasmatron current, in order to achieve an optimal cutting force. The claimed installation is meant to be mounted on a lathe and comprises a plasmatron (1) fixed on a tool-holder carriage on which there is also mounted a tool-device (2) in which there is rigidly fixed a lathe cutting tool (3) and some displacement transducers (4) which continuously measure the deformations of the lathe cutting tool body (3) and send the measured values to a control unit (5) determining the components of the cutting forces as main machining standard, and continuously adjusts the value of the plasmatron current.</p> |
