PURPOSE: A method for recognizing an image display device and a component input signal is provided to automatically adjusting a threshold value for detecting a level of a component synchronous signal according to an input source device and compensate the difference of a synchronous signal between devices. CONSTITUTION: A component image signal is inputted through an input terminal(S301). The synchronous signal is divided from the inputted component image signal(S302). The level of divided synchronous signal is compared with the preset threshold value(S303). As the preset threshold value is adjusted according to the compared result, the synchronous signal of a component image signal is detected. If the level of the divided synchronous signal is smaller than the preset threshold value, a fine adjustment step for compensating the component synchronous signal level is performed. |
