The seat has a support unit with rods (4, 5) connecting a shelf support (3) to an upper part (121) of an armature flange (12). The rods are articulated on the support and the flange along articulation axles (B-E) to form deformable quadrilateral. The rods are articulated such that the support is offset toward rear by pivoting of the rods backward and downward in utilization position, and the support and a working shelf (2) are maintained in raised state against a backrest (11) and the quadrilateral is deformed to accompany the pivotment of the backrest, in a storage position.
