PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pneumatic tire which effectively functions carcasses on inner and outer layers, and enhances the bead detachment resistance.SOLUTION: A bead core 9 is embedded in a bead 2. A ring-shaped core 11 is embedded in a shoulder 10. A carcass cord 8 is wound around the bead core 9 and the core 11 to constitute a side carcass 5. The carcass cord 8 is wound in a stretching manner in an 8-letter shape to eliminate separation between inner and outer layers. The side carcass 5 forms a skeleton of a side part 3. A belt 6 is provided to restrain the side carcass 5 in the circumferential direction. The belt 6 forms the skeleton of a tread 4. The side carcass 5 and the belt 6 overlap each other. The side carcass 5 and the belt 6 are covered with rubber 7.
