The steeplejack safety harness has a tensioned cable (2) with a support (13) with a passage (14) for the cable and a slot (15) to allow passage of a slide (4) on the cable which carries an eye (9) for the safety rope (10). The width of the slot is smaller than the diameter of the cable.
