The label (10) has a front side comprising an address field (11) for entry of a receiver of an object to be transported, and memory devices e.g. electronic chips i.e. radio frequency identification chips, for storing a bar code (12) and character string. A bar code strip (A) is provided with a bar code adhesive layer (18a) on a rear side. A despatcher field (14) is provided for entry of despatcher of the object to be transported. The front side is divided into two sections (10a, 10b) that are separated from each other using an auxiliary line (19). Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a shipping bag that comprises a strap adhesive layer for holding the article (2) a method for secure shipment of an article.
