The stand has a vehicle energy simulating device (26) attached to a data bus (18) and a test sample (25) to be tested. Charging condition, temperature and voltage of an electrical energy storage unit is dynamically simulated by the vehicle energy simulating device that co-operates with an electrical machine (12) of a hybrid drive of the test sample. The simulating device serves as a voltage source that is provided in a motorized region of the electrical machine, and as a voltage reducing unit that is provided in a generator region of the electrical machine. An independent claim is also included for a method for testing a test sample of a hybrid drive in an internal combustion engine and an electrical machine of a motor vehicle.
