PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for measuring breath alcohol content which determines any pump error of a suction pump for fuel-cell type alcohol sensors.SOLUTION: This breath alcohol content measuring method is characterized by that pump noise generated during aspiration of the suction pump for fuel-cell type alcohol sensors is picked up through a microphone within a given time period of t1-t2 after the suction pump is driven, then the suction pump is determined to have been normally-operated when a volume level of the pump noise picked up through the microphone is beyond the limit, while the suction pump is determined to be a pump error when volume level of the pump noise picked up through the microphone is below the limit. |
