PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bleed preventive method in continuous casting by which the occurrence of bleed can surely be prevented while shortening a period of time required for drawing a cast slab as much as possible.SOLUTION: The molten metal sucking amount h at an upper end of a cast slab when the cast slab drawing is completed is expressed as a function of the casting rate V before completing the casting and the cast slab drawing speed V' after completing the casting. The cast slab drawing speed V' when the molten metal-sucking amount h is 400-500 mm is obtained based on the function. Immediately after the continuous casting is completed, the cast slab is drawn at the computed cast slab drawing speed V'. The function is expressed, for example, by h=αV+βV+γV+α'V'+β'(α, β, γ, α', β' denote constants of proportion). |
