PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printing system for suppressing the power consumption of a printer having a power saving mode since the transition from a power saving mode to a normal mode requires power consumption larger than that in the normal mode.SOLUTION: When a PC1 receives the print instruction of original data from a user in a status that digital multifunctional equipment 3 is set in a power saving mode, print data 50 are temporarily stored in a shared folder 21 created by a storage destination device different from the digital multifunctional equipment 3. An operation confirmation part 131 periodically confirms the operating state of the digital multifunctional equipment 3, and when the digital multifunctional equipment 3 is recovered from the power saving mode, the print data 50 stored in the shared folder 21 are transmitted to the digital multifunctional equipment 3 to reduce the transition frequency of the power saving mode and the normal mode, thereby suppressing power consumption. |
