PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus of electrophotographic type for suppressing generation of a ghost image even in a production market requiring high productivity and severe usage.SOLUTION: This image forming apparatus includes a number-of-pixels counting means for counting the number of pixels for which an exposing means exposes a photoreceptor surface in response to start of a job for each photoreceptor axial direction position. In response to the counted value of the number of pixels counted by the number-of-pixels counting means, idling mode of rotating the photoreceptor where the exposing means is not operated and the charging means and discharging means are operated is made to interrupt the job. |
