PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image recorder correcting curl deformation of a recording medium, and preventing impartment of a curl in the inverse direction of the curl deformation even when stopping carrying of the recording medium.SOLUTION: This image recorder includes a first carrier roller 4 for carrying the recording medium 101 to a recording part 50, a curl correcting means 10 arranged on the carrying upstream side of the first carrier roller for correcting the curl deformation of the recording medium, and a buffer means 40 arranged between the first carrier roller and the curl correcting means. The curl correcting means includes a second carrier roller 11 for carrying the recording medium, a correcting roller 12 pressed to the second carrier roller, and a pressing member 13 movable to change a winding angle for winding the recording medium on the correcting roller. The buffer means absorbs sagging of the recording medium by a difference between the first carrier roller and the second carrier roller. A carrying quantity of the recording medium by the second carrier roller is controlled in response to a carrying quantity of the recording medium by the first carrier roller. |
