PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform excellent channel estimation even when a channel estimate is not extrapolated in a frequency axis direction.SOLUTION: In this base station of a wireless communication system, a channel-compensating pilot signal is time-multiplexed to a data signal wirelessly transmitted at each predetermined bandwidth between the base station and one or more terminal stations connected to the base station, and a signal of a format obtained by subjecting the multiplexed pilot signal and the data signal to frequency multiplexing among users is transmitted. The base station includes a pilot signal multiplexing means to multiplex a first pilot signal having a large bandwidth relative to that of the data signal and a second pilot signal having a small bandwidth relative to that of the data signal by mixing them with each other on a time axis. |
