PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display device capable of effectively cooling a liquid crystal light bulb while securing the required flow velocity and flow rate by forming a ventilation duct so as not to generate the turbulence of air. SOLUTION: A sealed optical block 4 and a projection space (e) are connected by a ventilation duct 25, air in the projection space (e) is circulated through the ventilation duct 25 into the optical block 4 by rotating a fan 20 arranged in a lower case 8 of the optical block 4 and after cooling the liquid crystal light bulb or the like in the heated state, air is circulated into the projection space (e). Concerning such a liquid crystal projector system, the duct wall surface of the ventilation duct is formed into round surface 25a so as not to generate any ridge line part at the junction part of faces and the flow velocity and flow rate of air currents flowing in the ventilation duct 25 can be improved.
