PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processing circuit and image processing method capable of relaxing a judder to improve image quality by improving the detection accuracy of a motion vector of image data of a film source.SOLUTION: This image processing circuit has a frame memory for storing image data of each frame of the film source, a motion vector detecting part for detecting a motion vector between images of adjacent frames, an interpolation image generating part for generating an interpolation image obtained by interpolating between the images of the adjacent frames on the basis of the motion vector detected by the motion vector detecting part and storing the interpolation image in the frame memory, and an outputting part for reading and outputting only the image of each frame of the film source or each frame and the interpolation image from the frame memory at a second frame rate, wherein the motion vector detecting part detects a motion vector between images of the same adjacent frames two times on mutually different conditions during respective periods of different frames of a first frame rate, thereby solving the above problem. |
