PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform tilt adjustment in a short time, without interrupting reproduction operation during reproduction operation.SOLUTION: A tilt adjustment mechanism 7 adjusts a tilt of an objective lens 6 to an optical disk 1, and an error number detecting circuit 12 detects the number of errors included in the reproduced data from an optical pickup 3. When the detected number of errors becomes the threshold or more continuously for more than the predetermined number of times, a tilt control circuit 13 corrects, while continuing data reproduction, the adjustment amount of the tilt adjustment mechanism 7 only a prescribed amount in one direction. After the correction, if the number of errors is equal to or more than the threshold, correction is made again only by the prescribed amount in one direction. |
