PURPOSE: A direct bidirectional Internet service system using a satellite is provided to increase the convenience of a user by enabling the user, who does not use an Internet service, to receive the Internet service using a satellite. CONSTITUTION: A main server(10) stores user registration information and transmits shopping information, chatting services, mail services and so on according to a user's choice. The main server(10) enables the user to use various Internet services. A member satellite transmitting/receiving unit(40) connects to a plurality of user(60) through a set-top box(50). The transmitting/receiving unit(40) transmits each information request signal of the users(60) to the main server(10). A satellite transmitter/receiver(31) is connected with the main server(10). The satellite transmitter/receiver(31) modulates data signals transmitted from the main server(10) and a satellite(S). The satellite transmitting/receiving unit(40) receives a satellite communication signal transmitted from the satellite(S). A router(11) is connected between the main server(10) and the transmitter/receiver(31). A back-up line(33) is connected between the main server(10) and the satellite transmitting/receiving unit(40). In addition, the back-up line(33) performs a communication between the main server(10) and the users(60). |
