PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely hold a protection plate on a holding member by a protection plate supporting member in respect to a luminous part of an illumination apparatus such as an electronic flash apparatus for camera. SOLUTION: The luminous part is provided with the holding member having an aperture part on the front side, a reflection shade held in the holding member, a light source arranged in the front of the reflection shade stored in the holding member, the protection plate arranged on the aperture part of the holding member, and the protection plate supporting member for holding the protection plate on the holding member by fixing bent parts formed on both the sides of a body part arranged in the front of the protection plate to both the side faces of the holding member. The protection plate supporting member is formed by an elastic material, both the side faces of the holding member are fixed in the spread states of the bent parts and the protection plate is depressed to the holding member by deforming the body part.
