Benzhydryl derivatives of the general formula (I) or (II), or their pharmacologically acceptable salts, esters or other derivatives, having an excellent Th1-selective immunosuppressive effect: (I) (II) wherein R<1> is phenyl which bears an arbitrary substituent selected from group (a) of substituents at the ortho- or meta-position and may be further substituted with one to four arbitrary groups independently selected from group (a) of substituents; R<2> is phenyl or the like; R<3> is lower alkyl; X<-> is an anion; n is an integer of 2 or 3; and group (a) of substituents consists of halogeno, lower alkyl, halogenated lower alkyl, lower alkoxy, lower alkylthio, hydroxyl, amino, nitro and cyano. |
