<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To invalidate a predetermined key entry for a fixed period of time after automatically erasing an on-screen picture such as a menu or an EPG for a display device of a television receiver or the like. <P>SOLUTION: A display device 10 comprises an operating means 17 including a plurality of operating keys, a tuner part 11 for inputting image data, an OSD part 13 for superimposing an on-screen picture on inputted image data, and a control part 18.
