The invention relates to a process for producing a shaped body composed of ceramic by layerwise buildup from pulverulent material, in which each powder layer is completely melted by means of laser radiation over the entire layer thickness in a predetermined region corresponding to a cross-sectional region of the shaped body to be produced before application of the next powder layer, where the material contains at least two ceramic substances which form a eutectic system.
