摘要 PURPOSE: An apparatus and a method for controlling a streetlight using an electrodeless lighting apparatus are provided to reduce the power consumption of the streetlight by adjusting intensity of lamps according to peripheral brightness. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus for controlling streetlights using a electrodeless lighting device includes an optical intensity detector(100), a rectifier(300), a microcomputer(200), an inverter(400), a transformer(500), and a high voltage generator(600). The optical intensity detector detects the intensity of outside light. The rectifier outputs a DC voltage from a commercial AC voltage. The microcomputer selects a lamp brightness value for the intensity of the lamp and outputs a corresponding switching control signal. The inverter outputs a predetermined AC voltage according to the switching control signal. The transformer generates current and voltage for secondary magnetron filament. The high voltage generator up-converts the output of the transformer and applies the result to the magnetron.
