PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an organic electroluminescence element with high emission efficiency and high durability. SOLUTION: The organic electroluminescence element sandwiches at least one organic layer comprising a light emitting layer between a pair of electrodes. The organic layer comprises a metal complex having a partial structure displayed by a following general formula (1). In the general formula (1), M<SP>1</SP>and M<SP>2</SP>show metal ions. Then, X<SP>1</SP>and X<SP>2</SP>show carbon atoms, nitrogen atoms, oxygen atoms, silica atoms, phosphorous atoms or sulfur atoms. R<SP>1</SP>and R<SP>2</SP>show substituents.
