A METHOD FOR PRODUCING 2,6-DIMETHYLPHENOL BY ALKYLATION OF PHENOL

PURPOSE: A method for producing 2,6-dimethylphenol by an alkylation reaction of phenol is provided to react phenol with methanol, thereby consecutively producing 2,6-dimethylphenol with high sensitivity and high yield. CONSTITUTION: Monoethanolamine and NH4VO3 are added to deionized water. Solution A is manufactured. Solution A and solution B are simultaneously dropped while adjusting pH. Co-precipitation of solution A and B is performed. Weak ammonia solution is added to the mixed solution. An obtained cake is dried, pulverized, and formed.
