The frame has a decking for supporting photovoltaic modules (3) and comprising battens (10) for bearing tiles (4) or slates. The decking has horizontal boards or laths (11) between the battens and/or covering the battens. The decking has vertical boards or rafters (13, 14) placed in a direction of rake so as to drift one of the photovoltaic modules positioned on the frame with respect to a plane formed by the battens and to form an air space between the plane of the battens and the modules. The vertical boards or rafters delimit air circulation corridors. An independent claim is also included for a roof comprising a frame.
