PURPOSE: A method and a device for duplicating remote virtual volumes with local physical volumes are provided to use replication algorithm, thereby automatically replicating the remote virtual volumes with the local physical volumes. CONSTITUTION: A computing device reads data from N numbers of remote virtual volumes and records the data(510). The N numbers of remote virtual volumes duplicates N numbers of local physical volumes without manual input. The computing device reads data from each N numbers of remote virtual volumes without changing volume assignment and reconfiguring of the computing device.
