PURPOSE: A shock absorber of a vehicle bumper is provided to minimize damage to the engine room inside the body frame through two-stage buffer actions. CONSTITUTION: A shock absorber of a vehicle bumper comprises a front frame(20) and a pair of shock absorbing units(23). The front frame is installed inside a bumper. The shock absorbing units are installed between the front frame and a body frame(22) and comprise a piston(24A) which is composed of a flange(26a) and a body(26b) extended from the flange, a cylinder(24B) which is fixed to the body frame so that the body of the piston can be inserted or projected, and a spring(25) which is installed on the exterior of the piston and the cylinder in order to absorb an impact force applied to the front frame.
