The method involves acquiring an image of a region of interest of a user using an image acquisition platform (1), and identifying characteristics of the image. Analysis protocol parameters adapted to the characteristics of the image, are selected for processing the image using an image processing platform (3), where the analysis protocol parameters are defined by a user from a terminal (5) e.g. fixed computer. The processed image is stored such that the processed image is separated for being easily exploitable. An independent claim is also included for a system for automatic management of images via a network, comprising an image platform.
