PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a soil sensor for easily and correctly measuring the distribution of an EC value of a soil, in real time, and a soil monitoring apparatus that uses the sensor.SOLUTION: The soil monitoring apparatus 30 includes the soil sensor 10, provided with a plurality of electrodes 11, 12, 13 and a water supply port 14 on a sensor side face and a measurement controller 20 connected to the soil sensor. The measurement controller 20 includes an EC value measuring unit 23 and a moisture content measuring unit 24. When a moisture content of the soil between two electrodes exceeds 55%, EC value is not measured. When the moisture content is 50-55%, the EC value is measured and output. When the moisture content is below 55%, a moisture is replenished from the water supply port 14 so as to cause the moisture content between two electrodes to be 50-55%. Then, the soil monitoring apparatus measures the EC value. |
