PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display video reproducing system, a controller and a video reproducing method, displaying a second video image irrespective of the midpoint of reproducing stream data including first encoded data obtained by encoding a first video image and second encoded data obtained by encoding the second video image to be displayed on the same screen as that of the first image data on the basis of display region information of the first encoded data.SOLUTION: This video reproducing system has: a first decoder for decoding the first encoded data obtained by encoding the first video data; a second decoder for decoding the second encoded data on the basis of the display region information of the first encoded data; and a control section for outputting the first encoded data included in stream data before the midpoint for reproduction to the first decoder if the first encoded data corresponding to the second encoded data are not included in stream data after the midpoint for reproduction when the reproduction processing is executed at the reproduction point midway of the stream data.
