To provide a method for removing copper ion from a solution containing arsenic acid (pentavalent arsenic) and copper ion while suppressing reduction from the arsenic acid (pentavalent arsenic) to arsenious acid (trivalent arsenic) to the utmost. ! The method for removing copper ion from arsenic acid solution includes, in the order, a step of adding single sulfur (S0) ≪4≫ and a copper sulfide ≪5≫ to an arsenic acid solution ≪1≫ containing copper ion, a step of controlling the liquid temperature to be 60�C or more, a step of blowing SO2 gas ≪3≫ or a gas mixture ≪3*≫ of SO2 gas and air into the solution and a step of removing the copper ion as recovered precipitate ≪8≫ containing a copper sulfide. !
