PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rear wheel steering device capable of preventing a turing shaft from being damaged, and capable of detecting damages inside.SOLUTION: The rear wheel steering device 100 steers rear wheels of a vehicle by converting a rotation force of an electric motor to axial movement of a rod 1. The rear wheel steering device includes: conversion mechanism 3, 5 which convert the rotation force of the electric motor to the axial movement of the rod 1; and a stopper 10 for regulating the predetermined amount or more of the axial movement of the rod 1. The rod 1 includes: a stroke amount regulation section 12 which is abutted with the stopper 10 when the rod 1 axially moves, and regulates the stroke amount of the rod 1; and a deformation section 13 for deforming so as to reduce the stroke amount of the rod 1 when the excessive axial load acts on the rod 1. |
