PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a protection system of distribution lines which avoids a restoration time from being varied depending on a position of the generation of an accident in a sound zone at the downstream side of an accident zone at the occurrence of ground faults.SOLUTION: The protection system of the distribution lines comprises the first and second distribution lines connected to a bus bar via blockers and having a plurality zone switches arranged in a vertical row and linkage switches arranged at linkage points of the first and second distribution lines, and feeds power to the sound zone by separating the accident zones by releasing the blockers or the zone switches at the occurrence of the ground faults of the distribution lines. The blockers, the zone switches and protection relays arranged at each linkage switch detect accidents of the ground faults and directions of the ground faults, transmit their own detection information to the protection relays which are arranged adjacent to each other in the directions of the ground faults, determine that the protection relays are those adjacent to the accident zones when receiving the detection information in the adjacent protection relays, release the blockers adjacent to the accident zones and the zone switches, and turn on the linkage switches. |
