PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a supercritical microwave reaction apparatus which has high reaction efficiency and is excellent in reaction uniformity by uniformly irradiating a supercritical fluid with microwaves.SOLUTION: The supercritical microwave reaction apparatus 10 includes: a reactor 11 for housing a solid carboneous material 21 being a substance to be reacted in the internal space thereof; and a microwave irradiation means 12 for irradiating the solid carboneous material 21 in the reactor 11 with microwaves from the outside of the reactor 11. The supercritical microwave reaction apparatus 10 is characterized in that the solid carboneous material 21 is irradiated with the microwaves by the microwave irradiation means 12 in the carbon dioxide of a supercritical state in the reactor 11 to perform a gasification reaction, in other words, the gasification reaction is performed by irradiating the solid carboneous material 21 with microwaves while infiltrating the supercritical carbon dioxide into the solid carboneous material 21 in the supercritical microwave reaction apparatus 10.
