PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hybrid vehicle for satisfactorily demonstrating exhaust gas purification performance by a catalyst from start of an engine.SOLUTION: The hybrid vehicle includes: a motor generator for charging a battery for supplying electric power to a motor for traveling; an engine 20 for driving rotation of the motor generator; a throttle valve 41 provided on an intake passage 40 of the engine 20; a catalyst 43 for exhaust gas purification, provided on an exhaust passage 42 of the engine 20; an EGR passage 44, provided to communicate with the downstream side of the catalyst 43 in the exhaust passage 42 and the downstream side of the throttle valve 41 in the intake passage 40, for leading a part of the exhaust gas of the engine 20 to the intake passage 40; an EGR valve 45 for adjusting an opening of the EGR passage 44; and a control means for motoring-driving the engine 20 by the motor generator by closing the throttle valve 41 and opening the EGR valve 45 when warming is required before the start of the engine 20. |
