The method involves positioning a cylindrical or conical molded bar material at a free end side of a bore (9) or other recess for connecting a wood component. The bar material is pressurized at an opposite end region by a torsional moment, particularly by a pressing force. The bar material is screwed into the bore. An independent claim is also included for a connecting element for connection of wood components.
