PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a printing device that allows the immediate correction of typographical errors and omission or the like, noticed when viewing a printed matter, and the reprinting of only the corresponding page, allows a change of data registered in the past, and also, allows editing even if there is no original data on a personal computer.SOLUTION: When printing is executed by an application of a personal computer 21, a printer driver collects information regarding characters simultaneously with the preparation of PDL commands so as to prepare a character information management table and to transmit it to a printer 22. In the printer, a job is called by a panel 2 and the number of pages, character coordinates, and new character codes are designated in order to edit characters and to execute printing. |
