PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a solar-cell-equipped pointer type electronic watch which can use a current caused by a solar sell for charging a secondary cell effectively.SOLUTION: The solar-cell-equipped pointer type electronic watch includes a plurality of solar cells connected in series. A switch S1 corresponding to a first solar cell C1 at positions at which time indicating pointers 7, 8, 9 have been driven at a measured time is controlled to close. A current output from another plurality of second solar cells C1-C6 excluding first solar cells C1-C6 the effective area of which is minimum by the close control of the switch S1 is fed to the secondary cell 23 through a bypass path B, thereby charging the secondary cell 23. |
