PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a video display device and system, which extends gradation while suppressing roughness or flickers of a display video in a time-division driving system.SOLUTION: A liquid crystal display device 1 is equipped with: a liquid crystal display panel 2 which can switch a video for a right eye and a video for a left eye by time division; and a dithering processing part 42 which extends gradation expression of each video. An observer obtains stereoscopic vision by having shutter glasses 6 which make in open state a lens 6R for the right eye during the display period of the video for the right eye and a lens 6L for the left eye during the display period of the video for the left eye. The dithering processing part 42 controls a plurality of masks made by arranging a plurality of gradations two-dimensionally with mutually different patterns so that all the masks are sequentially switched during the open period of the shutter glasses 6. The plurality of gradations of the respective masks are spatially and temporally averaged, and halftones of these gradations are expressed.
