PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve operability in complicated channels in accordance with diversified broadcasting modes and segmentation in frames of channels, and to enable a fast and certain selection when specifying/regenerating information of an apparatus to be controlled such as television set and the like. SOLUTION: The apparatus is controlled by a remote controller capable of specifying information to be reproduced, by inputting long-digit figures and/or long-spelled characters in a long-digit input display. The apparatus also displays types of modes in the long-digit input display, and makes mode of the information to be reproduced variable corresponding to operation results of a mode selection means in the remote controller.
