PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide headphone equipment having a portability and operability and showing much more supremacy over the conventional ones. SOLUTION: The headphone equipment is equipped with a headphone 2, a wind-up mechanism 20 provided inside a case 3 and so energized as to wind up the cord 2C of the headphone 2 into the case 3, a carabiner 5 attached to the case 3 in such a mechanism as to be allowed to be worn by the user, and a pine needle-like string 8 attached to the case 3 or carabiner 5 to mechanically connect a portable music player PL for supplying an audio signal to the headphone 2 to the headphone equipment. When the user wears the headphone equipment, with the portable music player PL and the case 3 being connected to each other by the pine needle-like string 8, since the portable music player PL and the case 3 are connected, bother can be reduced because of little degree of freedom of movement of the portable music player PL when the user wears the headphone equipment and, in addition, there is no missing of operability with respect to the portable music player PL since the user can operate the portable music player while wearing it.
