PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an operation device that receives operations, executed to switches, without having a contact for detecting the operations executed to switches and a circuit board, mounted with the contact, with almost no restriction on design and an arrangement place or the like. SOLUTION: A camera 1, a light source 2, and a photosensor 3 or the like are arranged on the rear-face side of a control panel 5 provided with push switches 6-8. The push switches 6-8 are imaged by the camera 1 from the rear-face side. An ECU 10 detects operations executed to the push switches 6-8 on the basis of the images acquired by the imaging.
