The timepiece has a case including a middle (22) which is closed at a top portion by a bezel (24) and at a bottom portion by a base. A mechanical chronograph type clock movement (25) is mounted against the middle through a casing ring (45). A locking device (27) locks a clock movement and casing ring assembly against the middle, when the case of the timepiece is closed. The locking device has an annular piece that is mounted between the casing ring and the base.
