A cam shaft is provided to reduce the weight and prevent loosening of cam and shaft joint by forming the cam part and the shaft part into one body using lightweight metal. A cam shaft comprises a cam part(3) and a shaft part(5). The cam part includes cams which are arranged as many as intake-exhaust valves to open and close the intake-exhaust valves, and a first liner layer formed on the surface of the cams. The shaft part includes a shaft which is formed of the same lightweight metal as the cams to form one body with the cams. |
