<p>The process disclosed consists in providing an opening in the board and passing the hauling gear consisting of the trawl warp, a so-called towing chain and the beam of the trawl net through said opening. An element (20) for automatic fastening and release is provided such that when a tractional force is exerted on the trawl warp, a set of fingers grips the chain (3) and fastens the otter board to the hauling gear. When the board reaches the pulley case (31) of the gantry support (32), a jack (41) actuates jaws (51) which apply an antagonistic force on the fingers, forcing them into a retracted position. This releases the otter board from the hauling gear. Said jaws, however, secure the otter board to the gantry support. The trawl net can then be pulled through the opening in the board. To pay out the trawl net, the operations are carried out in reverse. The invention is applicable to trawl fishing.</p> |
