PURPOSE: An OTP operation method and a system thereof using a user medium and a recording medium for certifying an OTP apparatus therefor and recording medium by using the confirmed user medium information as the same seed value are provided to perform two-factor authentication by authenticating the OTP as the seed value. CONSTITUTION: A storage medium(240) stores the related information after connecting OTP medium information, user medium information and server side OTP generating information. An information receiving unit(225) receives an OTP through the OTP creation information. The OTP creation information includes the user as the seed value. An OTP authenticating unit(230) generates the OTP through the OTP generation information. The OTP authenticating unit authenticates the validity of the received OTP.
